A Story of Transformation

Hello and Welcome

I have worked to create a home for my life’s transformation, and the act is in the pages. My life experiences are reflected in every creation, and in my opinion, the most essential part of my work is to inspire those who observe my creative process.

The Living Artifacts

I observe my art as “Living Artifacts.” Each work embodies a piece of my story and a core philosophical value, and these works are ready to become part of a new story that will carry out their new philosophical purpose. Each work becomes a wealth of lived experiences, as its inspiration becomes a part of a new life.

The Role of the Steward

Each observation adds to the piece's narrative value. For this reason, the collectors of these creations do not simply become new owners; they become stewards. Their story is now an integral part of the art, and every interaction, each shared moment, and the continuously growing story about the piece will advance the artifact’s legacy and yours.

Next Steps

Every day provides an opportunity to overcome past experiences/ life’s scars. Become a Steward and create a new legacy.

Moore By Design: Founder/Managing Member

Throughout my life, the guiding principle has been to seek clarity, ensuring my labors were beneficial. That dedication has now culminated in a realized philosophy: an artistic practice that transforms discarded objects and fleeting moments into Living Artifacts. My work is the ultimate expression of this journey: proof that a life defined by hardship and profound observation can be reclaimed, and that a new legacy of meaning can be built from all that came before.

The Foundations: Work Ethic and Appalachian Roots

Born and raised in Rabun County, Georgia, my earliest understanding of value came directly from the land—the abundance of wildlife, the crisp water from the granite mountains, and the hard-won legacy of the Kelly family. Though life was simple and often complicated—marked by the scars of hardship and the quiet magic of stories by the wood stove—it instilled a profound appreciation for resilience. This background taught me that value is not about extravagance; it's about the integrity of the process and the longevity of the outcome.

That work ethic led me to leave school at sixteen and, later, to serve in the U.S. Army Infantry. The Army provided the discipline and clarity I needed to excel, reinforcing the lesson that a strong foundation is everything.

The First Reclamation: A Struggle for Renewal

After completing my military service, I sought clarity through education. However, the blending of known subjects in college education felt limited by instructional knowledge and less applicable to real-world applications. That is not to say it isn’t educational, as my academic knowledge was truly expanded. Still, it provided little clarity. Education allows me to advance my own agenda and narrative, as well as enhance others’ lives through inspiration.

Clarity: Constant Struggle and Revision in Work and Life

Through years of work and managing my own business, I added to the decades of lived experience, which served as an unintentional proving ground for my philosophy. I spent countless hours witnessing the tension between the grainy chaos of the human world and nature's perfectly in-focus processes. I was professionally fighting nature to impose order, while personally watching nature tenaciously reclaim every abandoned corner. The discarded wood, the forgotten machinery, the broken concrete—these were not just materials to be removed; they were stories waiting to be read.

The Final Transformation: Art as Philosophy

At the age of 54, I recognized that the actual work was not in fighting the landscape, but in interpreting it. I realized that my life was an artistic expression, a canvas of continued resilience, a cumulative effort to paint the perfect painting. Rather than focus on the bad, I observe the scars as inevitable lessons that have brought me to this future place. It is my job to advance this knowledge and share the story through an Artistic journey, inspiring others with “Living Artifacts” aligned with my lived philosophy.
